Herein
is the cause and effect of how Joe
Arpaio has won five elections to be
Maricopa County Sheriff. In the 2008
election, Arpaio received 540,000
votes. In 2004, Arpaio received
640,000 votes. The votes came
primarily from Sun City and Sun City
West. Who lives in these Del Webb
communities? Retirees from the
mid-west (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana,
Ohio and Nebraska.)
For a very long time yet to come,
Joe Arpaio can not be defeated by
the Hispanic electorate and others
who believe Arpaio is the social
stigma of our community.
We must now pursue a
different course of action
On
February 3, I submitted a letter to
the U.S. Attorney General requesting
an investigation of the Civil Rights
abuses directed toward Hispanics by
Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
This
request must now take the form led
by the Phoenix community of a
national campaign involving all
concerning with Civil Rights and
others to given a meeting in
Washington with the U.S. Attorney
General. We now have access to the
Barack Obama White House and our
campaign will include a request to
meet with the President for
assistance in this matter.
To
prepare for these events, Amicus
Curiae is translated as "friend of
the court" and refers to someone who
volunteers to offer a learned
treatise to assist the court or in
this case: The U.S. Attorney General
in deciding my request to
investigate the Civil Rights abuses
toward Hispanics by Sheriff Joe
Arpaio.
The Amicus Curiae information can be
in the form of a legal brief or
testimony that has not been
solicited by any of the parties, or
on a matter that bears on the case.
This
is now a high priority for me. I
will submit a Amicus Curiae in the
form of a legal brief and write a
narrative of testimony for
submission to the U.S. Attorney
General requesting an investigation
of the Civil Rights Violations
directed toward Hispanics by Sheriff
Joe Arpaio.
The
information I will provide will
detail all aspects of Joe Arpaio to
include former investigations by
former U.S. Attorneys for Arizona
and specifically, how Janet
Napolitano as a former U.S. Attorney
for Arizona began an investigation
of Joe Arpaio culminating on the day
she resigned by having a press
conference that included Joe Arpaio
to announce her investigation of
Civil Rights abuses by Joe Arpaio
was being closed.
This
was subsequently followed by Joe
Arpaio endorsing Janet Napolitano
for governor of Arizona. This passes
the smell test of "quid pro quo." I
believe Janet Napolitano succeeding
in manipulating the election that
made her governor of Arizona.
This
is no different than what former
U.S. Attorney General Alberto
Gonzales tried to do trying to
manipulate the outcome of the 2006
congressional elections.
On
March 9, 2007, I wrote: "Hispanic is
Much More than Just Skin Color,
Gonzales is No Longer Hispanic" and
"Hispanic News Calls for Gonzales to
Resign." which can be found in the
2008 Hispanic News Archive.
Alberto Gonzales Attempts to
Manipulate the Outcome of the 2006
Congressional Elections
The last straw was the firing of
eight U.S. Attorneys, one of who is
Hispanic, to manipulate the outcome
of the 2006 congressional elections.
No graver assault on the U.S.
Constitution can take place enabling
a democracy to evolve into a
dictatorship by stuffing ballot
boxes to win elections.
The stakes in the 2006 elections
were at the highest level
determining the direction of the
United States. Had Attorney General
Gonzales been successful in
directing the U.S. Attorneys
prosecute Democrats in eight states
manipulating election outcomes, the
congress may still be in the hands
of Republicans enabling the Bush
Administration to "stay the course"
in Iraq and further diminish the
civil rights of all Americans.
